McDonald’s to Debut All-Day Breakfast

Love ’em or hate ’em, Egg McMuffins will soon be available from dawn to dusk and then some. Starting October 6, the Golden Arches are rolling out the breakfast sandwiches along with a smattering of their other fare: McCafĂ© drinks, McMuffins (sausage and/or egg), biscuit sandwiches (bacon, egg and cheese, and/or sausage), sausage burritos, hash browns, hotcakes, oatmeal, and yogurt parfaits.

This spring, the behemoth fast food chain tried out the all-day breakfast concept in the San Diego market, and since that presumably went well they are now on to your city or town. The nine items are more or less the same breakfast foods included in the “McDonald’s After Midnight” menu, offered between midnight and 4 a.m. (when the chain starts serving only breakfast).

McDonald’s first tried to expand its menu past midnight in 2012, with its “Breakfast After Midnight” menu from midnight to 5 a.m.

Beyond that, creative salads made with quality ingredients are still an exception. For too long, they were also the province of expensive, sit-down restaurants. In the last […]
