Food Trucks Form Their Own Market

First, it was every food truck for itself–get the best spots at the best time before anyone else. Now it appears that food truck operators are finding strength in numbers. Brian Hsu of Atlanta, owner of Sweet Auburn Barbecue food truck, decided to share a hotel property he recently purchased with other food trucks to form Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market. A recent Atlanta Journal-Constitution blog post reported Hsu purchased a large commercial property with the intent to use it by himself. But the space was so large he decided to open it up to other food truck operators. A few are permanent, others will rotate in and out. The space is being professionally landscaped and will include a park, picnic tables and a venue for concerts.

Restaurant History

A good salad is hard to find — even in California. Reliable Caesars and Cobbs colonize menus everywhere, as do ubiquitous piles of mixed greens dressed with vinaigrette. Beyond that, creative salads made with quality ingredients are still an exception. For too long, they were also the province of expensive, sit-down restaurants. In the last […]
