On Monday March 21, the James Beard Foundation announced finalists for its 2011 awards (go here if you don’t want a pdf download). Special congrats to Rajat Parr, wine and spirits professional and for his new book Secrets of the Sommeliers; Amy Thielen at the Minneapolis Star Tribune; Monica Eng at the Chicago Tribune; San Francisco Chronicle; Eric Warnstedt at Hen of the Wood, Waterbury, VT; Gabrielle Hamilton at Prune, NYC; Aaron London at Ubuntu, Napa; and Pat Kuleto for Outstanding Restaurateur (gotta love that Martini House in St. Helena).
