Chinese Scientists Clone Human Milk

In the ever-astounding world of genetic research, scientists at the State Key Laboratory in Agrobiotechnology in China have figured out how to introduce “human genetic coding into the DNA of Holstein dairy cow embryos,” according to a story by Haze Fan and Maxim Duncan in todays’ Reuters. Yeah, our thoughts exactly: WHOA! The point of all this lab-coat hocus-pocus?  To produce “…a herd of genetically modified cows that make milk that could substitute for human breast milk — a possible alternative to formula in a nation rocked by tainted milk powder scandals.” Moo.
